Outbreak of carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales in Lithuania, 2019 Date of publication: 18 December 2019 Between 1st February and 26th November 2019, 199 cases of Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC)-producing carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales (KPC-CRE) have been detected in Lithuania. Influenza virus characterisation, Summary Europe, November 2019 Date of publication: 11 December 2019 This is the second influenza characterisation report for the 2019–20 influenza season. As of week 48/2019, 6 887 influenza detections across the WHO European Region had been reported; of which 84% were type A viruses, with A(H3N2) prevailing over A(H1N1)pdm09, and 16% type B viruses, with 123 of 137 (90%) ascribed to a lineage B/Victoria. Monthly measles and rubella monitoring report, December 2019 Date of publication: 13 December 2019 Twenty-nine countries reported measles data for October 2019, of which 259 cases were reported by 14 countries, and 15 countries reported no cases. Overall, case numbers continued to decrease compared with the previous two months. Romania and France had the highest case counts, with 100 and 59 cases respectively.
